Tosohatchee

My long run went really well, 16 miles in 2:10:34, that’s about the fastest 16 miles I ever ran in training.
Later Stephanie took Bailey, me and the horses to Christmas to go trail riding. It was a nice fun ride, my first one since we got back from Orlando and we enjoyed it a lot.
When I got back home Jon and I went grocery shopping on the base, I cooked dinner with my dad and we just hung out for the rest of the night.

Tosohatchee

A day full of nature, fresh air, and exercise.
It cooled down significantly so it actually felt like fall – not winter, but who wants winter?
It was just perfect, sunny and temperatures in the forties, for a long trail run and as I don’t really want to die in the 50k on the Dec 30, I better put in just a little bit of training.
Both facts and being short before christmas I didn’t work today but drove to the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area and ran 18.6 miles. I took my time, stopped often, took many pictures and enjoyed life.
After chilling out on the tailgate of my truck, recovering from the run and some Walmart shopping I went to the barn and took my Appaloosa Brownie out for a nice trail ride.
When I came home I made dinner with Jon’s help again, worked on my running log and installed my new bike computer. Of course, I had to go for a short ride to try out if it worked which it does just fine.
Now I’m tired!
