A somewhat unsuccessful work day.
The first appointment didn’t really happen, after that I just went with Carole to her house and we watched her 4 year old grandson Connor. It was fun though.
Later we drove to Melbourne for another appointment. It rained terribly when we were on the interstate, so it wasn’t really relaxed driving. I was glad when we got to the place, but nobody bought anything, so we were a little disappointed.
I had planned to run on the base afterwards, but just right before I turned right onto the bridge over the Indian River I heard a tornado warning. I wasn’t really thrilled by the thought of getting into a tornado on the coast, so I called Jon and my parents not to worry and went back home to run my intervals in the neighborhood.
They were hard, but went by pretty quickly. For the 2 mile cool-down I got Jon out of the house and run with me. Again, it was so nice to run together.
Because of the tornado we didn’t go to Cocoa Beach for dinner but went to a nice little restaurant in Cocoa Village further inland where we’d eaten after the Space Coast Marathon with Stephanie and Shelly.
The food was good and even though my mom accidentally got meat in her veggie chili she still liked it.
Jon’s parents went to Wal-Mart and Jon, my parents and me got some beer and strawberries at Publix before we all got back to our house.
