I’m tapering like crazy!
Rode my bike to Cocoa Village and parked it at Riverfront Park to run up and down the causeway. The newspaper reporter had asked me about my hill training and that made me think. So I went today and I ran pretty fast, got honked at a couple of times and cooled down at the bathing fountain where all the moms who were taking their kids there but never went in the water themselves looked at me funny.
When I came home it was already time for lunch, so I cooked lentils and ate before I lay down in the hammock in the garden to read and look up facts about the marathon online.
I took my new saddle that Steve had sent me for my birthday, went on a trail ride with Brownie and cleaned his pen. There wasn’t that much to do because I’d already got most of it out yesterday.
For dinner Jon put salmon fillets on the grill, and I made the sides of pineapple salsa, veggie salad and baked potatoes – thank you, microwave! – and later we went to the movies together to see 21. There were lots and lots of high school kids around, each skinnier than the other, but it was a nice movie and we enjoyed it.

See more progress on: take one photograph each day as a way to document my life.
