I wanted to do a last cold weather run before flying back to Florida, so I got up at six, packed as much as possible and hit the W&OD trail again for an hour.
The hotel shuttle bus took me to the airport, I checked in, bought a postcard and flew on a very small plan to Atlanta. I had only 45 minutes between landing and take-off to Orlando and during that time I had to change terminals, too. So there was no time for anything but buying a postcard real quick and when I got to my gate they were already boarding.
That plane was a little more spacious and I had a seat on the aisle, so I wasn’t crammed but could eat my prepared lunch comfortably before we took off.
In Orlando my parents were already waiting for me. We got my suitcase and went home. I even managed to unpack everything right away, had dinner, made my grocery list for next week and rode my bike to Publix to get some breakfast for tomorrow.
Jon is taking a later plane, he probably won’t be back before midnight so I was glad my parents picked me up at the airport rather than having to wait for eight hours before we could have gone home.
It was a weird trip, staying in a mall and not really being able to go anywhere and see much, but I’m still happy that I went. I always like to travel no matter what, especially with my Jon. Our sightseeing trip to Washington yesterday was definitely fun and the hotel was really nice, too.
