An extreme day in many ways.
First of all it was cold today, much colder than usual. I even wore a hat and gloves when I ran, a jacket for work and had lunch in the truck because it was too cold to sit outside.
Due to the cold I was able to run a lot faster than usual, too. I had a tempo run at marathon tempo scheduled, but I ran the two 20 minute tempo brackets a lot faster than that. On the flip side the fast running already took some of the energy out of me that I had available for the day.
Even though the first and the last appointments that I had set for today were canceled I was very successful making more appointments. But that also meant that I talked more and spent more time with the companies that were willing to schedule a meeting. It took me much longer to do the already exhausting 40 calls for today than if everybody would have said no.
Driving around and talking to people all day took most of my energy, and after I had to meet at the county office with Jon late in the afternoon to get our taxes straight, I was completely exhausted and couldn’t do anything but lay down for a while. I was so tired that I didn’t go ride Brownie or even help making dinner.
Eating the good pasta with eggplant that my dad had made I felt much better though and could do some more work and the laundry.
